Tune-Up
While older vehicles were recommended to have an automotive tune-up between 10,000 to 25,000 miles intervals, modern cars, trucks, and SUV's equipped with advanced computer systems, fuel injection, and electronic ignition systems can go 100,000 between major tune-ups. Vehicles that are equipped with platinum spark plugs may require a tune-up sooner. Regardless, air and cabin filters will still need to be replaced between 15,000 to 25,000 intervals.
What are the signs that you need an automotive tune-up?
- Starting your car is getting more difficult
- Stalling, weather occasional or frequent
- Poor Acceleration
- Idling rough
- Knocking sounds from the engine
- Poor Gas Mileage
- Check Engine light
ALL-IN-1 Mobile Garage will only change the necessary parts needed to get your car back to peak performance, but most automotive tune-ups require our car mechanics to change spark plugs, fuel filters, oxygen sensors, PCV valves, and spark plug wires or ignition coils. Belts, hoses, and fluids are checked and replaced as needed too. Our ASE mobile mechanics will bring on the parts necessary to perform the work required. Once the automotive tune-up has been completed, you will notice better starts, smoother running engine, better fuel economy immediately.
Remember, we come to you, so you don't have to find the time to take your car, truck, or SUV to a garage or out-of-the-way service center and deal with all of those headaches. You keep your daily schedule, and we will perform the work that is needed.
Make sure you ask us if your vehicle has a timing belt. Most manufacturers recommend that timing belts be changed between 60,000 to 100,000. Failure to replace your vehicle's timing belt can yield significant damage to your engine should the timing belt break. Should your car need a timing belt replacement along with a tune-up, we might have to schedule multiple visits to complete the work. When replacing the timing belt, it is recommended that the tensioners and idler pulleys be replaced too. If the timing belt drives your vehicle's water pump, it is also recommended to tp replace the water pump and seals.
